If you moved away, what would you miss about Lake Forest and Lake Bluff? The beach? Your friends? Your home? Your dreams? What if the icons of your memory ceased to exist? One former resident keeps a blog about the journey she's been on since relocating to Los Angeles from Lake Bluff for her husband's job. As time has passed, many of the things she longs for have closed up or moved on, like Marshall Field's, Holly's American Bistro and her favorite Lake Forest minister. But the thing she misses most is the hope she had when she was living here. She's a good story teller, and worth a read. Gazebo News: Thank you for your wonderful blog. It is so nice that a piece of home is just a click away. And, thank you so much for this very generous shout out. I do miss Lake Bluff and Forest very much, as demonstrated on my blog. I hope all who are living there know just how lucky you are. There is no place like Forest and Bluff. L.A. pales in comparison. Eternal summer is not all that it's cracked up to be.
p.s. Would someone go to Bank Lane Bistro and have a bowl of tomato basil soup for me?

Sure I will. We move out to L.A. from the Bluff also.
Miss home an all my friends...
